Anywhere from Prime Minister Pierre E. Trudeau, President George Bush, President Mikhail Gorbachev, President Boris Yeltsin, President L.B. Johnson, Robert F. Kennedy, Jacqueline Onassis, Charles de Gaulle and Fidel Castro to actors, musicians and sport celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor, Oprah Winfrey,The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Muhammad Ali to Elvis Stojko, Spremo’s images are legend.
During his career, Spremo has visited the hot zone of Vietnam where he spent a month with Canadian Peacekeeping troops, Grenada after the U.S. troops invasion, plus Belfast, Northern Ireland, Israel, Gaza, Cypress and Iraq. Also traveling throughout six countries of Central Africa in 1983, Spremo's special assignment was to cover drought and famine from Ethiopia on the east to Senegal and Mauritania on the west. After Iraq's invasion of Turkey in 1991, Spremo was also sent on special assignment to cover the plight of the Kurds extricated from their homes.
Winner of 293 National and International photographic awards, 18 Canadian Press Picture-of-the-Month Awards, published in every major magazine, including Time, Life, Sports Illustrated, Reader’s Digest, National Enquirer and Maclean’s, Boris remains the avid photographer looking for the next good shot.

Q&A:
What would be your media of choice (digital or film)?
Both. I use film for long term projects I started with film because I wish to maintain a consistent look in my prints.
I use digital for my free-lance work because of greater technical control and immediate feedback.
What would you consider your first big break in the business?
Spot News situation – A Soccer Riot
What was your most challenging assignment?
It was everyone!
What is your funniest photo experience?
Meeting George C. Scott in hotel corridor and asking him: “Do you know in which room George C. Scott is staying in?”
What was your 'creepiest' photo shoot?
Covering wars
What is the most exotic location you've shot in?
Working and diving in Tahiti – Bora-Bora Island
What was your biggest photo mistake?
Shooting Chairman of the Board at his office with no film in my camera.
Your idea of the most perfect assignment"?
3 weeks at Caribbean Islands shooting stocks for Travel Section.
