The story of "The Lonely
Havana Night Man"
While leading a "group shoot" of advanced photographers inHavanarecently, one of our objectives was to get
dramatic night shots. Most all of the photographers with me had traditional tripods, which werecumbersome and provided
great difficulty to drag around all night. I carried my JOBY GorillaPod
Focus.
All six of the photographers shot this same scene, but none of theshooters gotwhat I got...a dramatic low angle perspective
which
gives a very unique and dynamic point of view. When I showed the photographersmy shot (in the camera LCD) they
all lowered theirtripods, but to no avail. They couldn't get the very low GorillaPodperspective. So they had to settle
for less drama because traditional tripods just don't get as low as a GorillaPod. And, by the time they got as low as
they could go... "The lonely
Havana Night Man" was gone.
